Results Experiment 2

1. What did you think of the sensitivity of the system system (the time between when the user sits in the wrong position till the signal is given)

  • It was fine
  • The sensitivity was a bit to fast for me
  • The sensitivity is fine.
  • The sensitivity is good.
  • Good
  • The sensitivity is fine
  • The sensitivity can be a bit less

2. What did you think of the duration of the signal

  • It works with letting me know I guess
  • It was good.
  • It is a clear signal.
  • Good but bit annoying after a while.
  • Enough
  • The duration is good, but when you can't find the right position, it will get annoying
  • The duration is long enough to let me know that I sit in the wrong position

3. What did you think of the intensity of the signal

  • It was fine.
  • It was subtle and not annoying.
  • The signal is clear but annoying after a while.
  • It is clear and not distracting.
  • Intensity of the vibration is enough, but the place of the vibration could be better.
  • The signal is clear.
  • The intensity is also good enough so that is clear.

4. What did you think of the comfort of the prototype

  • Quite good actually. It is soft and I canot feel the sensors.
  • It is more comfortable than my own chair.
  • Soft and comfortable.
  • I didn't even notice the prototype after a while.
  • Material is soft and it is good to sit on.
  • It is comfortable to sit on.
  • Nice material to sit on.

5. Are you willing to use the system if it is properly introduced

  • Maybe.
  • Yes, it will help with my back pain, I think.
  • Yes.
  • Yes, I think it can help people with bad postures.
  • If it is properly processed in the seat of a chair I will use it I think.
  • Not necessarily, because I don't have issues with my current work position.
  • Yes, because I know that my position in an office chair is not very good.

6. Do you want to be able to turn the signal on and off

  • Yes, defenitely
  • Yes, if I you talk to somebody I want to be able to turn it of.
  • Yes, I want to be in control of the chair.
  • Yes, you do more thing with the chair than only working behind the computer.
  • Yes.
  • Yes.
  • Yes, because when I use the chair for other purposes than school, like gaming.

7. What did you think of the visualisation feedback

  • It was pretty cool to see.
  • It was nice to see, but it is a bit distracting when it is constantly on.
  • It is clear what you need to change to get the right position.
  • The feedback was clear, but distracting.
  • It is good to where the pressure points are, but it could be more clearer.
  • The feedback was clear.
  • It is nice to see, it is clear how to sit better, but this can be more clearer I think.

8. What do you want to change in the system

  • Want to be able to control the sensitivity myself.
  • I want an easy on and off switch.
  • I want to be able to easily change the settings to my own preference.
  • To change the settings to my own needs.
  • The place of the vibration, the visualisation feedback could be clearer.
  • There are a lot of wires, this can be maybe be reduced.
  • Improve the visualisation feedback.

9. What do you like in the system

  • That you can know that you sit in a wrong way.
  • It gives subtle feedback and will help with your posture.
  • It is comfortable and gives good feedback.
  • Normally you don't notice you sit in a bad posture, but this system gives instant feedback.
  • It is good that there is a product that stimulates a good position.
  • That it will help you sit the right way with some good feedback.
  • I like that there are two clear signals that will tell if you are in the right position, and that it will help to improve your position.

10. Do you have any further ideas or improvements to the system

  • Focus on informing the user and not correcting the user.
  • Maybe an app that keeps track of your improvements in posture.
  • A wireless version.
  • Less wires.
  • A pressure mat that is processed in the seat.
  • Maybe a version with sensors in the back of the chair, than it is more complete.
  • For the visualisation feedback, maybe some pictures can be add how to sit correctly or to tell what needs to be changed on the current position
