The drone automatically measures gas concentration in certain areas. The system is based on AR Drone 2.0 from Parrot that uses Arduino nano board, which is one of the candidates for a board in our project.

The project aims to measures the gas concentration level in areas where it is impossible for humans to reach due to possible toxic gases. Its main feature is the gas sensor on AR Drone 2.0 that measures the gas concentration within the radius. The drone also uses GPS sensors to locate itself for creating the gas map of the area. The system has a GUI for users to communicate with drone when they want to set a destination point, create a gas map within the area, etc. The article provides some calculations regarding drone orientation and the use of GPS sensors as well as how the drone maneuvers itself using some algorithms.
