Chess Line-tracking Competition
The goal of the Chess Line-tracking Competition (CLC) is to follow a line and measure its length.
- The line will be a piece of tape on a table; the contrast between the tape and table will be high enough.
- The rover will be placed at the beginning of the line.
- The group with the most precise distance wins the competition.
- If two or more groups have the same distance, the winner will be the group with the shortest time.
Mission to Mars
The goal of the Mission to Mars is to find and measure the temperature of the three lakes.
- The rover can be placed anywhere on Mars.
- Do not fall of the platform!
- The lakes will be filled with (sufficient) water.
- The lake will be 'turned off' when found.
- The group that finds all three lakes will win the competition.
- If two or more groups have the same distance, the winner will be the group with the shortest time.
Note that communication with the earth can be unreliable i.e. there are some dead spots.
